Disney's Aladdin Junior

Welcome to Agrabah, City of Enchantment, where every beggar has a story and every camel has a tail! Based on the hit movie of the same name, Disney’s AladdinJr. has been adapted for the stage specifi cally to be performed by and for children. With all your favourite characters back in action including Princess Jasmine, Jafar, the Genie, the Magic Carpet and of course, Aladdin, the show is sure to be a winner with all audiences - young and old.
The story follows the adventures of a young street urchin by the name of Aladdin who dreams of a life better than his own. One day in the marketplace he meets the beautiful Princess Jasmine who has escaped from the confi nes of the castle and her father, the Sultan. They fall in love but almost immediately Aladdin is captured by Razoul, the head of Jafar’s royal guard and thrown into a cave. Luckily for Aladdin he fi nds the magic lamp out of which pops the Genie and his Magic Carpet. They attempt to transform Aladdin into the Prince he believes Jasmine deserves but not if Jafar has anything to do about it!
The score, conceived by legendary Disney composer Alan Menken (The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Enchanted) and lyricists Howard Ashman and Tim Rice won the 1992 Academy Awards for Best Original Score and Best Song (A Whole NewWorld).
So come along and hear all your favourite songs from the film including Arabian Nights, One Jump Ahead, Friend Like Me, Prince Ali and A Whole New World performed by a cast of over
50 talented young performers.
Director Ruth Tiffen heads a young and vibrant production team of former GMS Juniors performers including Musical Directors Andrew Sampford and Ben Ross, Vocal Coach Josephine Gleeson, Choreographer Richard Lovegrove (assisted by Jessica Hind) and Assistant Director Nick McDougall.
